Crawfish Boil Preparations

Posted by Benson

Yep, the weather is like that every year

Hey everybody!

As you all know, the 6th annual DGA Family and Friends Crawfish Boil is just one month away!

on
Saturday, March 9th

If you are planning on attending, make sure to RSVP.

Official invitations are out in the mail, and if you haven't received one yet, you should get it soon.  I hand drew that artwork myself, and you can't rush genius!

The paper invitation is really more of a formality, except for that wristband.  Hold on to your wrist band and make sure to wear it when you come.  You need that wristband for alcohol!  The boil always attracts a lot of attention, and the bartenders have to be able to sort ya'll out.

You'll also notice that those invitations only have one wristband.  Don't worry!  If you are coming to the boil you are welcome to bring whatever guests you like.  I have a pile of extra wristbands for your plus ones, twos, threes, fours, and so on.  The limiting factor was not how many people are welcome, but how many wristbands I could attach to envelopes before losing my mind.

King Crawfish wants YOU to be at the 6th annual DGA Boil

If you are coming to the boil, be sure to check out our post on hotel recommendations.  There you will find suggestions for a variety of hotel options from Northshore B&Bs to the best places to stay in the French Quarter.

And for those of ya'll who aren't quite sure what a crawfish boil is, you can learn all about it here.

If you're not sure what a crawfish boil is, you might also be nervous about the prospect of peeling pounds of mudbugs.  If you have a look at my crawfish peeling guide you'll be ready to peel like a pro by the time you get here.
